The Struggle For Mankind
     
"If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don't understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God."

The battle for the souls of mankind is real! And, it carries eternal consequences!   Jesus has won the war over sin and death through His crucifixion and resurrection, but satan still seeks to blind the eyes of men and women to the salvation which is found through Jesus Christ! So, we the Church of Jesus Christ are engaged in warfare battling for the souls of mankind throughout the earth! Jesus has done His part on the cross, and commended the rest to His Church! The souls of mankind have, in a sense, been entrusted to the Church of Jesus Christ. There is no question who will win the war between God and satan for planet earth, for it has already been decided, but the fight for the souls of the lost on planet earth is an ongoing struggle.
 
Leonard Ravenhill once said, "But have we Holy Spirit power - power that restricts the devil's power, pulls down strongholds and obtains promises? Daring delinquents will be damned if they are not delivered from the devil's dominion. What has hell to fear other than a God-anointed, prayer-powered church?" The Church must recognize the struggle they are to be involved in, and then engage the enemy with all the might of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God!   The enemy shows little concerns over the church that would serve as a social club or an adult baby-sitting service! But, the church that would embrace their responsibility of rescuing the lost from the arms of Hell will find the war against the enemy ever so real; for he will not lie down and allow us to claim the souls of the lost without a fight! Time is short and the task is great! We must be ever aware of the war we are in, and the prize of souls we are to fight for, and win, for our King, Jesus Christ!
