The Transformed Life
     
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will."        
Romans 12:2 (NIV)
 
A renewed mind brings a transformed life! Until our mind is renewed we will never be able to experience the fullness of God's love and power towards us, nor will we be able to demonstrate such before the world. The enemy is very much aware of this truth, and so he does all he can to keep us conformed to our old thinking patterns. It's interesting to note the word "transformed" is the Greek word "metamorphoo" from which we get the word "metamorphosis" which can be defined as, "a change of the form or nature of a thing or person into a completely different one, by natural or supernatural means." It is also the exact same word used to describe Jesus when He was "transfigured". The Bible says: "Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; and He was transfigured (metamorphoo) before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him" (Matthew 17:1-3, NKJ).
 
Jesus is supernaturally transformed before He can experience this heavenly wonder on planet earth. In the same way our mind must be supernaturally renewed that we may undergo a metamorphosis, being totally transformed, if we are going to experience the fullness of our Father's heavenly blessings and power here on planet earth! What we think, and how we think, makes the difference between victory and defeat! God wants us to live in victory and therefore calls for our minds to be renewed that our entire life may be transformed!
