Abounding Grace
     
"But the Law came to increase and expand [the awareness of] the trespass [by defining and unmasking sin]. But where sin increased, [God's remarkable, gracious gift of] grace [His unmerited favor] has surpassed it and increased all the more." Romans 5:20 (AMP)
 
The enemy will never give up trying to destroy God's children. And, even though he realizes that no sin can be counted against us, because Jesus Christ has freed us from the Law, he still persists in trying to use sin to trip us up. And, there are times he is successful in doing so. Still every time sin is used by the devil to try and keep us from all God has prepared for us, we find the Lord always ready to extend an abounding portion of grace to us!
 
God's grace is far greater than any sin the devil may attempt to use against us! God's grace sets us free and keeps us free! John Newton, put it ever so beautiful and true, when he said, "Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; 'Tis grace has brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home." Sin will continue to stick up its ugly head in our lives, but grace will always be there to abound over it! Continue to trust in the grace of God; it has brought you this far, and it will surely see you through ever challenge and obstacle that comes your way in this life!
 
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJ)
