"Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone." Colossians 4:6 (NLT)
 
The way in which we say something is just as important as what we say. If you're going to talk to someone about the mercy and love that is found in Jesus Christ it would be wise to show yourself friendly, if you hold any hope of them receiving the message you're trying to convey. Joyce Meyer said, "Everyone knows how to smile. It's one of the greatest gifts God has given us. A smile makes people feel good, and people look so beautiful when they smile. When the joy in your life is obvious, it rubs off on others. But when you keep God's joy locked inside you and don't allow it to show on your face, you're depriving those around you of a pleasant and refreshing experience." A friendly smile can go a long way when witnessing about Jesus Christ to a non-believer.  
 
The words you speak should bring hope and grace, verses condemnation and guilt, and that's exactly what the Gospel message does when presented correctly! The Gospel message is one of mercy and forgiveness, it tells of a loving God who gave everything for those He loved who were lost in sin. So, we must be sure our words are gracious, and even attractive, as we communicate with those outside of the family of God; and in truth, they should be that way at ALL times.
