Kingdom Power
     
"And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people." Matthew 4:23 (NKJ)
 
As Jesus went about telling people the good news of God's Kingdom, He not only used words to communicate His message, but He also demonstrated the power of His message. Jesus showed people that the Gospel of the Kingdom was not only convincing words but POWER! He showed people the love of God by the power of God to do great signs and wonders! Jesus healed all who came to Him! He demonstrated that His message was different than any other they had ever heard.
 
The Apostle Paul said, "The kingdom of God is not in word but in power." He also said, "My speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power." That's how Jesus presented the Gospel to people, it's how Paul presented the Gospel to people, and it is how we should also present the Gospel to people! The message we have been charged with carrying to the world is different than any other, it is a message that carries the redeeming power of God! Know that you go forth with the full power of Heaven to complete the Mission Jesus has entrusted to you. Don't be afraid to lay hands on the sick and hurting, praying in faith for them, so that they may experience the power of the Gospel! You have been given the power of Christ to do the work of Christ!
 
"And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
Mark 16:17-18 (NKJ)
