Tough Time
     
"Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever." Psalm 118:1 (NKJ)
 
It has been said, "Tough times don't last, but touch people do." But I believe even the toughest of people can face circumstances that will drive them to their breaking point. And, I also believe that if we are depending on how "tough" we are and our own ability to meet the challenges that life brings our way, it won't be long before we fall under this assertion of pride. Even the toughest of persons is in need of the Lord's enduring mercy and goodness!
 
Thomas Watson, an English non-conformist, Puritan preacher and author of the 17th century, said, "The mercies of God make a sinner proud, but a saint humble." Let us remain humble before God at all times, depending on His mercy and goodness to overcome all of life's challenges, and not our own strength! Let us never forget that we have a loving Father who is more than willing to daily shower us with His mercy and goodness, if we will only look to Him to receive it! Trust in God alone at ALL times! Put NO confidence in your flesh! Believe for God's mercy and goodness and you will receive no less in every moment of your life! And remember, it is not tough people who last, but God's mercy and goodness! Be blessed!!
