God provides for the birds of the air, and His provision has nothing to do with their labors. God does not measure out the provision He supplies based on a merit system. The birds don't merit themselves before the Lord; they simply receive from His generous hands! What a lesson for us to learn! God is not looking to provide for us based off of how much good we've done, or on how good we've been. God provides for us based on our relationship with Him! In fact, we often miss out on God's provision by trying to merit ourselves before Him. Everything we receive from our Father in Heaven is based off the finished work of Jesus Christ, who has freely and graciously justified us! We are able to FREELY receive all our Father has because of Jesus! But, beware of pride, it desire to earn its own provision, pride looks to justify itself, pride foolishly believes it can earn what Jesus has already paid for! Pride always stumbles before the promises of God! Stay humble, and freely receive, and you will live a life full of the provision of God; you will be blessed, as will everything you lay your hands to!
