Many times the children of God only look to their heavenly Father when a situation arises that they feel is beyond themselves, something they cannot handle on their own. Yet, God wants His children to always look to Him, whether they feel capable, or not, for the task at hand. When we realize our constant need for God, in the seemingly small things and big things, we will see the power of the Kingdom released into our lives like never before. We are to live totally dependent on the Lord, to realize that without Him we are spiritually, and truly, in every way, bankrupt! Thomas a Kempis, a 15th century monk, said, "He is truly great that is little in himself, and that maketh no account of any height of honors." In ourselves we have nothing, but in Christ we are limitless! Make little of yourself and much of Jesus, and the power of Heaven, to overcome this world, will be manifested in your life! REST in, RELY totally on, and TRUST in no other than JESUS!!
