Special Favor
     
"But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me-and not without results. For I have worked harder than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace." 1 Corinthians 15:10 (NLT)
 
The Apostle Paul understood that even though he was laboring with all his might for the furtherance of God's Kingdom, it was only by God's grace that he was able to be successful in his labors. Paul had come to totally depend on the Lord and the special favor he received through Jesus. This favor had made his efforts prosperous, and it would only be by this special favor that he would continue to prosper in his efforts to advance the Kingdom. In his own strength and abilities Paul was helpless, but with Jesus he was able to prosper in whatever he laid his hand to!
 
If you want to see the work of your own hands prosper, if you want to live in the same special favor as the Apostle Paul did, all you need do is begin to rely solely on Jesus, putting no faith in your own abilities, and all of your faith in His! God is ready to fill your life with undeserved favor, to bless you in ways you have never considered, and all you have to do to receive this special-undeserved favor that brings the blessings of God to your life, is lean back and rest in Jesus, totally trusting in His finished work on the cross!
