No Matter The Odds
     
"Then the angel of the LORD went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpses-all dead."
Isaiah 37:36 (NKJ)
 
The king of Assyria had made powerful threats to Hezekiah and all of Jerusalem, and from a natural view point his threats had to be terrifying; for he had destroyed many cities, conquering many nations, before he reached Jerusalem. The odds were indeed in his favor, at least from a worldly view. But, Hezekiah turns to the Lord and the Lord delivers him and Jerusalem by sending only one angel, and that one angel killed 185,000 soldiers of the Assyrian army. Hezekiah and the people he led didn't have to lift a finger, they did nothing to help their situation physically, all they did was lean on, and trust, in the Lord.
 
No matter what the odds, if we will trust in the Lord, depending on His abilities and not our own, He is more than able to deliver us from any threat the enemy may bring our way! There is no obstacle too big and threat so consuming that we cannot come out victorious when we learn to totally depend on the Lord and His mighty hand to deliver us! Believe God for the victory, regardless of the odds, and you will live the life of an overcomer in Christ!
