Humble Dependency

"But can the ax boast greater power than the person who uses it? Is the saw greater than the person who saws? Can a rod strike unless a hand moves it? Can a wooden cane walk by itself?" Isaiah 10:15 (NLT)

God had used the king of Assyria for his purposes, and in doing so had caused him to triumph greatly over other nations. In his victories the king became arrogant and began to boast of his own greatness, he didn't realize that it was God who had caused him to triumph over his advisories. He was only a tool the Lord was working with, but he didn't have the wisdom or understanding to be humble and grateful to the Lord who brought him victory.

The Bible is clear that we are definitely more than a tool to the Lord; we are His children and we are partnered with Christ to complete the Great Commission! Still, we must maintain a humble dependency on the Lord. We must realize that no matter how sharp we may appear, without the Lord swinging us we can do nothing. We must rely on the strength of the Holy Spirit which lives inside us to bring us the victory! And, we should always give glory to our Lord for any success we may have in this life. Learn to humbly depend on God and His strength! Focus on God's capability, and not your own inability, and you will experience a level of success and prosperity you had not previously known!

"Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain." Psalm 127:1 (NKJ)
