The Right Path
    
"Lead me in the right path, O Lord, or my enemies will conquer me. Make your way plain for me to follow." Psalm 5:8 (NLT)
 
God has indeed laid out a path for each of His children. He has a course He wants us to follow. To follow that course, and to finish it, it will take direct guidance from the Spirit of God. The fantastic thing is, God desires to give us that guidance; He wants to make the path clear for us to follow. All we need do is get in-tuned with our Father in Heaven, stay in His presence, and we'll never miss a beat! Our path will be made clear and plain. It is when we stray from the presence of the Lord, neglecting to spend time with Him that we find it difficult to distinguish between the Lord's guidance and our own. Elisabeth Elliot said, "Experience has taught me that the Shepherd is far more willing to show His sheep the path than the sheep are to follow. He is endlessly merciful, patient, tender, and loving. If we, His stupid and wayward sheep, really want to be led, we will without fail be led. Of that I am sure." If you're having trouble finding and following the path God has planned for you perhaps you have strayed from His marvelous presence. If you have, once again make spending time with your heavenly Father a priority. Schedule timed daily to spend in His presence; it will definitely be to your benefit.
