When Israel was in captivity in Egypt they had the privilege of witnessing God do great signs and wonders! They saw the might of God as He defeated pharaoh's army when they were camped against the sea. They saw God bring water from the Rock to quench their thirst. They witnessed firsthand what God was capable of! Yet, their hearts remained hard. They questioned God's ability. They doubted His goodness. In their unbelief they asked, "Can God spread a table in the desert?" They didn't believe He could! But, He could, and He did! Because they refused to trust God they would miss out on so much of His grace! So much of the goodness God desired to show Israel they would never experience.
