Adversity

"Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God." 1 Samuel 17:6 (NKJ)

Goliath was not the first seemingly overwhelming challenge David had faced. David had battled both lion and bear and he had come out victorious. David learned from his past challenges that he could depend on God to deliver him in times of trouble. David allowed adversity to strengthen him instead of defeating him. Through adversity David would learn to climb bigger mountains, so that he may stand on higher mountain peaks!

We all face adversity. And, when it comes we can choose to see it as a burden, or we can see it as a mountain to climb, with a summit to stand on top of! We must learn to use adversity as an opportunity to strengthen us for the next mountain we will climb! Each mountain has its own challenges, but each mountain also has a summit waiting to be conquered! We must choose to learn from our moments of adversity, allowing them to strengthen us for greater challenges! Refuse to give up! Climb the mountain, and know when you reach the peak things will appear much clear than while you were climbing!

"My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." James 1:2-4 (NKJ)
