A Godly Spirit
    
"For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline." 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)
 
Fear sits on the opposite side of Love; for our God is perfect love and our enemy is fear. God uses love to change people and set them free; the devil uses fear to terrorize and deceive people, holding them captive. Love breeds faith, but fear breeds doubt! Faith is what makes all things possible, but doubt keeps us from realizing the fullness of our God given potential. So, it only makes sense that God would not give us a spirit of fear and timidity; if He had we would never be able to please Him, for it is impossible to please God without faith, and fear always destroys our faith. God has instead given us a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline that we may do the things that please Him, and fulfill all God has for us in this life. Refuse to allow the enemy to use fear to keep you back from all the Lord has prepared for you! Allow the Love of God to fill your entire being with faith, making the impossible a reality in your life!
 
"If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don't love, I'm nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. If I speak God's Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, "Jump," and it jumps, but I don't love, I'm nothing. If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don't love, I've gotten nowhere.
