"These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It's only nine in the morning!"
Acts 2:15 (NIV)
 
As the first disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit their behavior became noticeably different. It was so different that some people thought they were drunk. The Holy Spirit had infected them to such a degree that people couldn't understand why they were doing the things as they were. The disciple's behavior and desires, their entire life and purpose in life, would be changed by the Holy Spirit.
 
When a man or woman truly repents and surrenders their life to Jesus and they receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, they are changed! Their entire life is transformed! Charles Spurgeon said, "Another proof of the conquest of a soul for Christ will be found in a real change of life." The Holy Spirit turns gossipers into encouragers! He makes takers into givers! He takes the selfish heart, that is only concerned for itself, and gives it a longing to help the hurting and destitute of this world! The Holy Spirit wants to infect each of us in a radical way! He wants to change to way we talk...the way we think...the way we see this world...and in deed, the way we love the people of this world. Allow the Holy Spirit to infect every part of your being! Allow Him to change you so radically that people won't recognize your behavior!
 
"Don't drink too much wine. That cheapens your life. Drink the Spirit of God, huge draughts of him. Sing hymns instead of drinking songs! Sing songs from your heart to Christ. Sing praises over everything, any excuse for a song to God the Father in the name of our Master, Jesus Christ." Ephesians 5:18-20 (MSG)
