Take Action
 
"Men of Galilee, they said, 'why do you stand here looking into the sky?'..."
Acts 1:11 (NIV)
 
As Jesus is taken up, and the disciples stand watching, two angels appear to them and pose a question, "Why do you stand here looking into the sky?" The message the angels were trying to get across to the disciples is that Jesus was gone and they didn't need to be just standing around wasting time. The disciples needed to be praying and looking for the promise of the Holy Spirit. They had a Great Commission to fulfill, and there was no time to waste!
 
There is a time to watch...a time to wait...a time to pray...and there is a time to take action! A time to get up and put feet to your faith! If you are praying for, and believing God, for a new job; start looking for one! Action is a testimony to what we believe! The Bible says, "Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." If we believe God has called all Christians to work and be responsible for the Great Commission, but do nothing to see it fulfilled, we must question what we truly believe. Be encouraged today and allow your faith to move you to action, and you will see the power and realities of God's will for your life begin to manifest in front of your eyes!
