Powerful Grace
 
"Each time he said, 'My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.' So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me." 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLT)
 
God's grace is nothing more than God's gift, or gifts as it may be. All we receive from God is by His grace. Whether it is emotional strength, physical healing, financial provision, or whatever we may be in need of, when it comes from our Lord it is freely given, it is by grace. And, the wonderful thing about this grace, or these free gifts God gives to us, they are better than anything we could ever create on our own. When God gives us the emotional strength we need, there is no distress that can over-take us! When God gives physical healing to our bodies, there is no disease or injury that cannot be completely healed! When God provides for us financially, it makes no difference what the economy looks like, or how impossible it may seem, He provides for us in the most unusual and generous ways! And, it is when we recognize we have no power to provide for ourselves, and lean totally on Him, that we open the door to receive His magnificent strength! Truly, it is in our weakness, and our recognition of that weakness, that the power of God's grace moves like a whirlwind through our lives! David Brainerd, an 18th century missionary to native Americans, said, "Never think that you can live to God by your own power or strength; but always look to and rely on him for assistance, yea, for all strength and grace." Learn to rely on the grace of God at all times, and you will at all times see the power of God's magnificent grace working in every area of your life!
