Good Example
 
"But instead, one believer sues another-right in front of unbelievers!"
1 Corinthians 6:6 (NLT)
 
The Apostle Paul address the church in Corinth, concerning not only their behavior inside the church, but also out in the world amongst unbelievers. The people of the church were living just like the people of the world. This wasn't good; especially sense they were supposed to be the "light of the world". They were to be distinctively different then the world around them; to set an example of what it looked like to be a follower of Christ.
 
Francis Bacon said, "He that gives good advice, builds with one hand; he that gives good counsel and example, builds with both; but he that gives good admonition and bad example, builds with one hand and pulls down with the other." With the responsibility of being the "light of the world" the followers of Christ must always set a good example for the world to see. We cannot afford to say one thing and do another; our words and our actions must align, and they must do so in a way that set a good example for the world to see. We are representative of Christ, and we must represent Him well, both in word and deed! Know that every day you are on display for the world to see, so set a good example for it! Let the world around you see what it is to be a follower of Christ! Shine as the bright light of Jesus Christ you are meant to be, bringing the grace and mercy of Christ to the hopeless and downtrodden of this world!
