Be Wise
 
"It isn't my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your responsibility to judge those inside the church who are sinning." 1 Corinthians 5:12 (NLT)
 
There is often a stigma that surrounds the term "judging" that makes many of God's children afraid to do it. And, perhaps that stigma is based off of not understanding the purpose and need for a Christian to judge, or perhaps it continues to permeate God's children because of a fear induced by the enemy. Whatever the reason for its existence, we must NOT be afraid to judge, especially inside the Church.
 
Judging is not condemning, nor is it gossiping. Judging in the Church is used to, one, help our brothers and sisters who have fallen, and two, to identify what, and who, is really of God. Paul tells the church in Corinth that it is their responsibility to judge those in the church who say they are Believers, but continue to live a life of sin. And, he tells them they shouldn't be afraid to do so, for one day the children of God will judge not only the world, but even angels. Jesus was clear when He said, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven." Be wise, and don't be fearful to make judgments, especially within the Church. Bad associations can quickly bring corruption to our hearts and the hearts of our family members. Judging has its place in the Church, and when done correctly is a valuable tool to prevent God's children from stumbling or following someone off the end of a cliff.
