No Worries
 
"Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And if worry can't accomplish a little thing like that, what's the use of worrying over bigger things?" Luke 12:25-26 (NLT)
 
Everyday life seems to bring a lot of worries, or at least tries to. We are presented with various possibilities and uncertainties about our tomorrow. But, Jesus teaches His followers that it's pointless to worry about anything; that it is literally a waste of time. For worry has no power to change anything! The only thing worry accomplishes is distracting us from all the things God wants to do for us and through us to glorify His name in this world! Jesus points out exactly how precious we are in the eyes of our Heavenly Father when He speaks of the birds and how God so graciously takes care of them. The birds of the air don't labor for their provision, nor do they plan for their future needs, yet God takes care of them. Jesus assures us that we are much more important than the birds of the air in the eyes of our Father! So, if Jesus is telling the truth, why would we waste even the smallest moment worrying about the future? Instead of worrying we must learn to trust...to trust in the fact that our Father loves us with an unfailing love! That because of this great love our Father has for us we will never be forsaken and He will take care of our every need! In a world of uncertainties, where so many things attempt to poison our hearts with fear of an unclear tomorrow, the child of God can take solace in the fact that their future is secure in Christ, and that their Father will take care of their every need! Be free of ALL worries! You are precious and you are loved by your Father in Heaven! He holds your tomorrow, so don't bother worrying about what it may bring, He's already taken care of it for you!
 
"Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need. So don't be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom." Luke 12:31-32 (NLT)
