The True Enemy
 
"For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places." Ephesians 6:12 (NLT)
 
Too often the children of God, which are none other than the Army of God, confuse the true enemy with a mirage created to lead them astray, to cause them to fight a battle that is not real, and in the end will prove to be unproductive. The Bible is clear, our true enemy is never made up of flesh and blood, but the demonic forces of darkness that often lead the challenges and struggles our eye behold. So, whether it's a co-worker who criticizes our every move, or a family member who rejects us because of our stand with the Lord, or even worse...someone who seeks to kill and destroy us for our confession of Christ. The true enemy remains constant, and that enemy is satan and his demonic horde that are set on destroying God's children and claiming the lost souls of mankind.
 
To successfully fight the enemy and be victorious we must understand who the true enemy is, and once we have identified the enemy we can set out on a military campaign to destroy all their works. For that is exactly what the Army of God is called to do as they go forth proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and fulfilling the Great Commission! If you know who your true enemy is, and you understand who you are in Christ Jesus, out of a hundred battles with the enemy you will be victorious every time!
