Who Touched Me?
 
"'Who touched me?' Jesus asked. Everyone denied it, and Peter said, 'Master, this whole crowd is pressing up against you.'" Luke 8:45 (NLT)
 
One day as Jesus and His disciples were traveling along the road, they once again found themselves surrounded by people. In the crowd there was a particular woman who had a medical issue that caused her to continually bleed. She had sought out medical help, and spent all her money on trying to find a cure, but all of her efforts proved to be of no avail. Now she sees Jesus walking through her town; His fame has surely spread throughout her town, which is evident by the crowd of people that swarm Him. This woman knows her only chance to be healed of this sickness is passing by, so she pushes through the crowd, stretches out her arm and touches Jesus. Immediately her issue of bleeding stops! It is at this point that Jesus asked, "Who touched me?" The disciples are a little perplexed at His question, for they are surrounded by people pushing against Him. But Jesus understands that someone deliberately touched Him in faith, for He felt healing power come out of Himself. The sick woman touched Jesus like no one else, and she received something that no one else got! Jesus is surprised, but not angry. He tells the woman her FAITH has made her whole! What need do you have today? Do you have the faith to reach out to the Lord? Will you push past all the doubts and fears that sometimes cloud our minds? If you will indeed reach out to the Lord in faith, whatever need you may have will be met!
