Power of the Word
 
"But Jesus told him, No! The Scriptures say, 'People do not live by bread alone.'" Luke 4:4 (NLT)
 
Jesus was tempted by satan in the wilderness, and even though He had all the power of Heaven at His finger tip chooses to use the Scriptures to combat satan. This truly shows us the incredible power of God's Word! After going forty days without food the natural man in most would begin to question God's faithfulness and the authority of His Word, causing fear to take over, allowing the enemy to rob us of the provision God's Word promises! Jesus though does not allow fear and the enemy to have any place! He embraces the Scriptures as absolute truth knowing that in the proper season it will be manifested on earth just as it is in Heaven!
 
We must never doubt the absolute truth and authority of God's Word! Too often we look at God's Word through the circumstances of our life, which cause the Word to be distorted. This causes us to doubt and question the Word. On the other hand, when we look at our circumstances through the lens of God's Word we understand the power of the Word to change everything around us! When we embrace the truth of the Word and every promise contained within it, we find it is only a matter of time before every promise is made a reality in our lives! Embrace the truth of God's unchanging eternal Word! Understand the enemy will always try to make you doubt the truth contained within the Scriptures; give him no place! Refuse to listen to his lies! The reality of the Word may not manifest in your timing, but if you cling to its truths, in faith, in the perfect season you will see the power of the Word transform your life and your circumstance!
