Bound To Christ
 
"So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God." Romans 7:4 (NIV)
 
We were once married to the Law, made slaves to sin. But, when we surrendered our lives to Jesus we shared in His death and resurrection through faith. Because we've shared in the crucifixion of Christ, we are no longer bound to the Law, nor are we slaves to sin. We are now committed to one another, bound to Christ! Our old relationship with the Law knew nothing but fear, punishment, and guilt. Our new relationship with Jesus Christ is completely void of all these things, and is instead full of love, freedom, forgiveness, grace, and faith; it is a relationship filled with abundance and joy!
 
Still the enemy whispers in our ear telling us lies filled with fear of punishment and condemnation, which are based on our old relationship with the Law, to which we are dead! If we dare believe him we empower him! And, though we are bound to Christ, separated forever from the Law, we live restricted by the devil's lies. But, if we refuse the lies of the devil, and embrace the truth of our new relationship with Jesus, our lives will be full of the blessings of God, despite our shortcomings and failures! Know today that you are bound to Christ, completely free from the Law, which means you are no longer a servant of sin, but of Righteousness! Live the life of blessedness and abundance that comes with your freedom from the Law and your union to Christ!
