Received By Faith
 
"So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham's. For Abraham is the father of all who believe." Romans 4:16 (NLT)
 
Abraham received the promise by faith, the same way we receive salvation through Jesus Christ, and truly the only way we receive anything from our Father in Heaven. Faith makes receiving anything and everything from our heavenly Father possible! Faith is like a set of hands that we must use to reach out and take all the promises of God. Without our hands we would have a difficult time receiving anything, we just wouldn't be able to hold on to anything very well, and so it is the same when we lack faith! Our Father stands ready to handover the blessings of the Kingdom to us, His children. But, if we have no faith, we have no hands to reach out and receive all He has prepared for us and promised us!
 
There is nothing our Father has prepared for us that we must work to receive! We don't have to earn His blessings, or prove ourselves worthy of them! We simply must reach out with hands made of faith, and receive all He has prepared for us! E.M. Bounds said, "If doubt be banished from the heart, and unbelief made stranger there, what we ask of God shall surely come to pass, and a believer hath vouchsafed to him 'whatsoever he saith.'" Never doubt your Father's goodness or His willingness to freely bless you apart from your works and deeds. Take your heavenly Father at His Word! Believe Him for the best and you will have the best! And, it will be done for you simply because He loves you!
