Don't Give Up 
  
"While Elisha was still saying this, the messenger arrived. And the king said, 'All this misery is from the Lord! Why should I wait for the Lord any longer?'" 2 Kings 6:33 (NLT)
 
The capital of Israel, Samaria, was under a terrible siege by the enemy. People were past the point of desperate and the king was beyond disheartened as he looked upon the suffering of his people. The king blamed God for their suffering, and even sought to kill the Lord's prophet, Elisha, because of it. What the king didn't realize is that the Lord was getting ready to deliver the city of Samaria in a magnificent way, and because of his misplaced anger, he almost missed out on God's deliverance.
 
Jesus was clear when He said, "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." The enemy will always try to destroy us, and at the same time try to get us to blame God for it. But our God is not the destroyer, but the Deliverer! He brings life to the areas of our life the devil is trying to destroy! If the enemy is coming against you and you've grown disheartened, don't blame God for the enemy's work, and don't give up on Him! Don't miss-out on the Lord's deliverance by turning from Him with misguided anger. Understand who the devil is and that he is out there trying to steal your blessings, destroy your faith, and kill you. God is there to bring you life abundant! Trust God! Your deliverance may be right around the corner! Don't give up!!
