The Value Of Wisdom 
  
"Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding." Proverbs 3:13 (NIV)
 
There are many people who poses knowledge, but knowledge without the skills to apply and discern it can cause more damage than not. The Bible says that wisdom and understanding are more valuable than silver and gold, which can be hard for those who are in a place of financial need to believe. It even states that nothing we desire can compare to these; again hard to believe! But, that's what God's Word declares! The Bible even goes on to say, that with wisdom and understanding comes long life and riches. Wisdom and understanding are a tree of life, and if we hold tight to these we will indeed be blessed!
 
Someone could give us a large amount of money, but after a period of time that money would be gone. But, if we have the understanding of how to gain wealth, it doesn't matter how much we use, for we understand how to get more. If we have the wisdom of how to apply God's Word to our lives, and allow it to become more than mere words on a page, we will experience all the blessings that are promised through the principles laid out in the Bible! God's children spend too much time seeking after wealth and prosperous lives, and miss the importance of gaining wisdom and understanding, not realizing that with these two that wealth and a prosperous life will surely follow. Seek wisdom! Desire to gain understanding! They are more valuable than rubies and gold, and with them you will live a blessed life!
