From the very beginning it was God's desire to spread his glory throughout the earth, using man as His chosen vessel to carry that glory. Building the Temple was not God's idea, but David's. David had it in his heart to build a temple that would bring glory to the Lord. David's heart desire lined up with God's plan! The Temple would help to spread the glory of the God of Israel throughout the known world.

The imagination is sometimes thought of as a bad thing, but when it lines up with God's desire it can be a powerful thing for accomplishing God's will upon this earth. David imagined a great temple that would bear the name of the Lord bringing glory to Him throughout the world, and that's exactly what it did. The regenerated spirit of man longs to bring glory to its Creator! When our hearts are overwhelmed with love for our Lord great things can come from our imaginations, things that allow us to partner with God to complete His will upon this earth! Don't be afraid of your imagination when your eyes are fixed on Christ. Allow your thoughts to fall in line with those of God, and embrace your imagination as you partner with your Lord to spread His glory across the earth in new and magnificent ways!
