"So He said, I am God, the God of your father; do not fear to go down to Egypt, for I will make of you a great nation there. I will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also surely bring you up again; and Joseph will put his hand on your eyes." Genesis 46:3-4 (NKJ)

As Jacob gets ready to journey to Egypt to be reunited with his son Joseph, God comes to assure Jacob that he will be a great nation, and there is no reason for him to fear; for God was going to Egypt with him. When God calls us to go anywhere we don't need to be afraid, because when God calls us that means He's going too! No matter how scary or unfamiliar the place may be, if God has called you there it's the safest place to be!

Maybe God is speaking you today to take a new direction in life, one that's making you very nervous as you consider it! No worries! Trust God and take this new direction; God is going with you! E.M. Bounds wrote, "Trust is faith that has become absolute, approved, and accomplished. When all is said and done, there is a sort of risk in faith and its exercise. But trust is firm belief; it is faith in full bloom. Trust is a conscious act, a fact of which we are aware." God is going to bless you and make your way prosperous, no matter how many obstacles are standing in the way! Changes often make people nervous, but when God is making those changes with you, you can be sure all will be blessed!
