God's Way!?

"So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt."

Genesis 45:8 (NKJ)

When Joseph makes himself known unto his brothers they are understandably very nervous. These are the same brothers that had sold into slavery 21 years earlier! Joseph had faced some hard times after being sold into slavery, and now would be a perfect time to enact revenge upon his brothers. But, instead of taking revenge, Joseph tells them not to worry. For, even though they meant evil by what they did, God had something bigger and better in mind. While Joseph's brothers were working for evil, God was working for God.

God would take Joseph from being a slave, to being a prisoner, to being a prince! I'm sure Joseph would have preferred a more direct route to the palace. But, God does have his own unique way of doing things. God showed Joseph in a dream that he would rule over his brothers and God brought that dream to pass. But, He never told Joseph the route he would have to travel to receive his dream.

God's ways don't always make sense to us! And in truth, many times God's ways leave us scratching our head and wondering..."REALLY"! We, like Joseph, must learn to trust God. We must learn to allow God to work thing out in His own way and time. Allow God to work in your life! Don't try to make sense of everything, because not everything makes sense! God is faithful! If He has promised you something you can be sure He will deliver, but you can never be sure of the delivery method.

"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." Romans 8:28 (NLT)
