"It was the harvest season, and the Jordan was overflowing its banks. But as soon as the feet of the priests who were carrying the Ark touched the water at the river's edge, the water above that point began backing up a great distance away..." Joshua 3:15-16 (NLT)

What an incredible act of faith! As the children of Israel went forward to claim the Promised Land the first obstacle they face is the Jordan River. The river was so high it was overflowing, but the priests who were leading the march were not deterred. They had the Word of God and they embraced it whole heartily! God told them to go forward, and despite what their natural senses told them, they trusted God! As soon as the feet of the priest leading the march touched the river it parted! Wow!! Not a moment sooner! They had to take that leap of faith, trusting in The Lord, before they saw His mighty hands part the waters!

How difficult it must have been for these priests to totally ignore all their natural senses and reasoning, and step out on the waters, fully trusting in The Lord! Our natural senses and reasoning will often time, and in truth most of the time, contradict what The Lord is telling us. Our God has no limits; the natural laws cannot hinder God and the absolute certainty of His ability to follow through with His Word! The Lord said of His Word, "I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it." Regardless of what our eyes and other senses may tell us, we must trust in God's Word! God's Word always trumps the natural laws and our natural reasoning. Embrace God's Word, both His written Word and that which He speaks to your heart, and you will live in the realm of the MIRACULOUS! Take a leap of faith! Step out trusting in the assurance of God's Word! You won't be disappointed! On the contrary, you will be AMAZED at His mighty hand!
