"

The Lord's hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord." Acts 11:21 (NIV)

As the early believers spread out preaching the Gospel message most of them went to other Jews to share the message. The Jews would have had an understanding of Scripture and the Messiah; this would have made talking to them more plausible, for they had common ground to start from. These believers would have been able to use the scriptures to reason with the Jews, but for the believers going to the Greeks this would not have been the case. The Greeks would have had no understanding of the Scriptures or of the Messiah. It was hear with the believers who were reaching out to the Greeks, a perceived more difficult and in many cases unwanted task, that God's Hand was seen. It was in these areas of pagans that God stretched out His Hand to work great miracles in the name of Jesus.

God's Hand can often be seen the clearest in the difficult assignments. Many of God's children will shy away from the hard things, but it is in the mist of those difficult assignments, where we find ourselves unqualified and unprepared, that we see the mighty Hand of God. We are the children of God, we shouldn't be afraid of the hard things, for it is in the difficult things that our Heavenly Father's power will truly be displayed. If God is calling you to do something that is totally out of the box, something that seems crazy; take a leap of faith and go for it! It is always, and only, in our weakness that our Lord's strength is made perfect! If we only do the things we know we can do, we will never see God's Mighty Hand! When others say, "No" to the hard assignments, trust in God's Strength and say, "Yes"!
