When God cleanses us by the blood of Jesus Christ we are clean! All of our sins are washed away, never to be remembered by God again! In fact, the Bible declares that as far as the east is from the west so God has removed our sin from us. Here is the awesome thing; the east and west never meet! If you travel south eventually you'll be going north, and the same holds true if you travel north, you will eventually be going south. But, the same cannot be said if you travel east or west, the two never meet! Through Jesus we have complete forgiveness of our sins! God doesn't remember our sin and neither should we! The enemy will often try to bring our sins of the past up; for he knows if he can get us to dwell on them they will cause us to shy away from God. Don't give the devil an ear! When the devil brings up what you did in the past, bring up what Jesus did on the cross! The Bible tells us that Jesus took our sins and gave us His righteousness. That means in the eyes of God we are righteous through Jesus! Stain free! Watchman Nee wrote, "If one believes in the death of the Lord Jesus as his substitute he already has been united with the Lord Jesus in His death. For me to believe that in the substitutionary work of the Lord Jesus is to believe that I already have been punished in the Lord Jesus. The penalty of my sin is death; yet the Lord Jesus suffered death for me; therefore I have died in Him." The punishment for our sin has been paid for by Jesus; there is no need to allow the enemy to punish you any further! Jesus has paid it ALL! You are FREE from quilt and condemnation! Jesus has made you FREE!! And, who the Son sets FREE is FREE indeed!!
