Generosity    

 

"Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to." Deuteronomy 15:10 (NIV)

 

We serve a generous God, and as His children we should demonstrate the same heart of generosity. God loves a generous giver who gives out of a loving heart for Him. God blesses the generous giver that they may continue to be generous! Wealth and prosperity is a good thing for the generous giver! Wealth and prosperity are nothing more than tools in the hand of someone whose heart is right with God! When someone's heart is self-seeking and self-centered, wealth and prosperity become a stumbling stone. John Wesley said, "When a man becomes a Christian, he becomes industrious, trustworthy and prosperous. Now, if that man when he gets all he can and saves all he can, does not give all he can, I have more hope for Judas Iscariot than for that man!" Don't allow prosperity and wealth to own you, but on the contrary, own and control the prosperity and wealth God brings to you! Be GENEROUS! Give to the furtherance of the Kingdom! Help the poor and destitute of this world! Be a giver...be a GENEROUS GIVER!! And, be BLESSED!!!

 

 

"This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God." 2 Corinthians 9:10-11
