"So there was great joy in that city." Acts 8:8 (NIV)

As Philip came down to Samaria he did great wonders in the name of Jesus. Not only did Philip share the Gospel, he also healed the paralyzed and lame of the city; those who were possessed by evil spirits were set free in the name of Christ. Philip did great miracles, and the city was filled with joy!

I believe each of us has the ability to bring joy in the name of Christ. Perhaps it will not be by some great miracle (or maybe it will be), but in a simple act of kindness to someone. Maybe it will come in words of encouragement and comfort to a friend or family member. Or, by bringing a sandwich and a prayer to someone who is homeless. We have the opportunity daily to bring joy everywhere we go! We have the joy of Christ living in us; we should let it out so the entire world can experience it! Let us choose to be a blessing every day! Let us bring joy to those around us by acts of kindness and generosity in the name of Christ. Mother Teresa said, "Let there be kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile, in the warmth of your greeting...Don't only give your care, but give your heart as well." Be a bringer of joy to this world! Be a bringer of Christ!!
