Stephen, a disciple of Jesus Christ, was filled with the Spirit of God. As Stephen stood before many of the unbelieving Jewish leaders, the Spirit of God gave him great wisdom that he could have never obtained on his own. God had something great for Stephen to do, and He had no intentions of hanging him out to dry! God would be there the entire time, giving Stephen the wisdom he needed to confound the most educated man.

God is ready to today to give us the same wisdom and insight He gave to Stephen! John Newton wrote, "The instinct of brutes and insects can be the effect of nothing else than the wisdom and skill of a powerful ever living Agent." The Agent that gives even the most unlearned man the wisdom to put to flight the most learned man is the Holy Spirit! The wisdom that comes from God is not dependent on what we know, but completely on Him! God leads us in the paths He has prepared for us! It is the wisdom of God that leads us to start a successful business, to change careers, to raise children, to speak of His glory to the world! It is God's wisdom in us that shows us right and wrong! God is ready to give us the wisdom we need to live successful and prosperous lives for His glory! All we need do is depend on Him, trust Him, and listen to Him as He guides us with wisdom from Heaven!
