"Isaac began to tremble uncontrollably and said, "Then who just served me wild game? I have already eaten it, and I blessed him just before you came. And yes, that blessing must stand!" Genesis 27:33 (NLT)

Esau and Jacob were brothers, but Esau as the oldest was to receive the blessing from his father. As Esau went out to hunt and prepare a meal for his father Isaac. Before he could receive the blessing his brother Jacob disguised himself and deceived his father into thinking he was Esau. Isaac blessed Jacob thinking he was his other son. When the truth was discovered, even though Isaac had been deceived by his wife and youngest son, there was no taking back the blessing. Both Isaac and Esau mourned, but the blessing had been spoken, and even though it was received under false pretense it could not be taken back!

The power of a spoken blessing is incredible! It is irrevocable! When we receive the promise of God's blessings through Jesus they are ours forever! No matter how bad things may get around us we remain blessed! The blessing had been spoken over us, and cannot be taken back! No matter what the devil says, we are blessed! The favor of God follows us everywhere we go! Know today that you have been blessed! In every situation you face, expect the favor of God to show up in your life! Except nothing less than the blessed life that had been purchased for you by Jesus Christ!
