Bringer Of Life...

"For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." John 1:17

God sent the Law by Moses, a set of rules to define right and wrong, a set of rules that God's children as a whole failed miserably at.  And, on the day Moses came down from the mountain with the Ten Commandments three thousand people were killed!  God sent Jesus to bring grace and truth.  Grace and truth had nothing to do with the ability of a group of people to do anything!  Grace and truth came by Jesus and have everything to do with Him and His work.  Where Moses brought death, Jesus brought life!  On the day of Pentecost, when the gift of the Holy Ghost was given, three thousand people were born again; they passed from death to life!  The Law of God is absolutely GOOD!  But, it doesn't bring life and it doesn't make people right with God!  Jesus on the other hand brought life apart from the Law!  Today, Jesus still offers life through grace and truth!  Life that cannot be earned!  Life that doesn't end!  Life everlasting! 

"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."
