Keep Up The Good Work...

"And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations." Revelation 2:26

Too often we base our Christianity off of what we don't do. We don't drink alcohol, we don't curse, we don't watch bad movies, and we don't smoke; and because of what we don't do we judge ourselves to be "good" Christians. But, Jesus isn't as concerned with what we don't do as He is with what we do! Jesus looks to us to keep His works! To be doers of the Word! If we don't drink, curse, or smoke and we never share the Gospel with anyone what good is it? We must be about our Father's business! We must be out sharing the Gospel, championing the cause of the persecuted, helping the poor, bring hope to the hopeless! We are workers in the field, and the field is humanity! James wrote, "Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world." Jesus said, "Inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me." Jesus also said, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." It easy to see that being a Christian is about what you do! Jesus is coming back one day; let Him find us doing the work He gave us to do! Let us be doers!!!

"And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith." Galatians 6:9-10
