The Certainty Of The Word...

"And now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship. For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, saying, 'Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar; and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you.'" Acts 27:22-24

Paul warned those in charge that the ship they were sailing on to Rome should travel no further, but his advice was ignored. Now the ship faced imminent danger, it seemed almost certain that all would be lose. Paul receives an angelic visitor that tells him, God will save him and all aboard. Paul had been commissioned by the Lord to testify of Jesus Christ before Caesar and God was going to make sure he got there. But it was up to Paul to trust in the Lord, following His Word to stay on the ship.

Paul and all on board would be saved even though the ship was destroyed. They all lived because they followed the Word of the Lord! God's Word is forever sure! The Word never fails! If God says it will happen, it will! It is up to us to trust God's Word actively by doing what He says to do. Paul followed God's Word and he was successful in all God called him to do. If we want to be successful we must follow God's Word, putting our trust in Him and not our own understanding. Do what God says to do! Follow His written Word and the Word He speaks to your heart. God's Word never fails! Have faith; walk according to the Word at all times!

"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." Joshua 1:8
