Don't Be Deterred...

"But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled." 1 Peter 3:14

God has called us and saved us to do good works. But, the truth is those good works don't always come easy. They can many times come at a cost. The more God uses us the more the enemy is going to take note, and the more resistance we can expect! Still, God says we are blessed when we do good works, even when troubles come our way. How can this be? We are blessed for our reward is in Heaven, even though we may suffer now, our joy one day will be fulfilled. We must never forget we are headed somewhere else, this world is not our final destination! As God's children we are headed to Heaven, our home country; we should live like it! We should live our lives intentionally, doing good works for the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ! When bad things happen don't allow them to deter you from what God has called you to do! Keep your course! Keep-on keeping-on!

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10
