Seekers Must Be Prayers...

"And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace." Jeremiah 29:7

God instructs the people of Judah who had been taken captive to go ahead and settle in; build houses, get married, and have families, they were going to be there a while. Because they were going to be there for seventy years they were told to seek the peace of the city they would dwell in while they were captive. To be successful in finding the peace they were seeking they were going to have to pray! Seeking the peace of the city by any other means than prayer would be an act of futility!

If we are going to find the things we seek after we are going to have to be people of prayer! Nothing happens in the physical realm which does not first transpire in the spiritual realm. We must enter the spiritual battle ground through prayer. Prayer is the bridge that links the spiritual world to the physical world. When we begin to understand this truth the importance of prayer takes on a whole new meaning. We see the importance of entering the prayer closet to spend time before the Lord. We must set time aside everyday for prayer. A time we put everything else on hold as we go before our Lord in prayer, stepping onto the spiritual battle ground!

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds" 2 Corinthians 10:3-4
