The Imitation...

"So Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, just as the LORD commanded. And Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent. But Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; so the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments." Exodus 7:10-11

The enemy is always trying to imitate our Lord, but he can only go so far.  When Aaron through the rod on the ground and it became a snake the magicians of Egypt did the same thing using demonic power, but Aaron's rod swallowed up the Egyptians.  As Aaron and Mosses demonstrated the power of God the Egyptians would try to imitate it, and would seemingly keep up for a while, but they could only go so far.  The devils power is limited!  And, indeed it is no match for the power of God, even when it looks similar, it is not!  The enemy will always try to imitate our Lord and he will seduce many by doing so, but God's children must never forget the devil's power is only a cheap imitation, and he is no match for the power that lives inside us by the Holy Ghost!  The Bible teaches us to be aware of the devils attack, it says, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour"  Although satan walks about like a roaring lion he is only an imitation of the real thing!  Jesus is the real Lion; the Lion of Judah!  The enemy will always try to imitate the Lord, so be on your guard, but don't dare be afraid of him!   Always remember, the devil is only a cheap imitation of the real thing!
