A Better Day...

"But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. For I am hard pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better." Philippians 1:22-23

The Apostle Paul understood what it would be like to leave this earth.  He knew he had a far better world waiting for him.  He wasn't afraid of death.  He even desired to leave and go to be with Jesus!  Paul understood that he was on this earth for a reason, but still looked forward to a day when he would walk with Jesus in Heaven.  

For those who have surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ there is indeed a better day coming!  When breath leaves the body of the child of God life does not stop!  But, a better life will appear!  In an instant we will be transferred into the Heavens with our Lord!  We will be freed from our earthly restrictions!  Physical pain and limitations will never again be experienced!  We will know the unending joy that will come from being in the physical presence of our Lord!  Things can be very difficult on this earth for God's children at times; for this is not their home!  But, a day comes when the children of God will stand in His presence!  No matter how bad it gets take solace in knowing a better day is coming!  A day when we will be forever gathered together in the presence of our Lord!

 "For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: 'Death is swallowed up in victory.'"
