The Weapon Of The Mind...

"Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin." 1 Peter 4:1

Peter advises us to arm ourselves with the same mind that Jesus had.  Jesus had the mind of a servant, a servant of God.  Jesus did only what He saw the Father do.  Jesus did the perfect will of God; willing to even lay down His life to please the Father.  With this mind set Jesus was able to live a life of victory and power over sin!  The enemy couldn't gain the upper hand on Him, because His mind was set on pleasing the Father and no one else, not even Himself.

As we arm ourselves with the same mind that Jesus had we will find our lives full of power and victory!  A mind that is set on the Lord, doing only what is pleasing to the Father, will have no problem with sin.  This mind set will move us to the place of power and authority we are called to live in!  Let us keep the mind of a servant as Jesus did!  A servant wishing to please no other than the Master; not even ourselves!  If we will stay armed with this mind set the enemy will stand no chance to gain a victory over us in the many battles we fight with him!  Arm yourself with the mind of Christ!  Live victorious!

"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men." Philippians 2:5-7
