War...

"This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare." 1 Timothy 1:18

War, it's not a nice word, but it's an accurate interpretation of what we are engaged in!  As God's children we are in a war against the forces of darkness.  satan and his demonic horde are battling for the souls of mankind.  Our job is to fight back!  God's children are also His army and we cannot stand by and allow the devil to keep the lost of this world.  We must take the fight to him!  That's what the Great Commission is all about!  Taking the fight to the enemy!  It's going into the enemy's camp and taking back the souls of men!  We are not to be passive Christians!  We must be aggressive and vigilant in our warfare!  It is said, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."  If those who have been made right with God sit back and do nothing the devil will run away with the souls of mankind!  But, if we will rise up and take hold of the authority and responsibility we've been given we will wage a war that will drive the enemy into a hole, as we capture the lost for Jesus Christ!  If you are a child of God, than you are in the army of God!  Wage the good warfare!!!
