New Covenant...

"For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second." Hebrews 8:7

The first covenant God made with man provided us with a way to be right with God, but the problem with it was that it relied on man to keep God's Law, which we never were able to do.  When the issue of Gentile converts being required to following the Law was brought up, Peter said, "Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?" The problem with the Old Covenant was man!  Man, no matter how hard he tried could not keep up his end of the agreement.  Because of that a New Covenant was made.  This New Covenant isn't with man and God, but is between the Father and the Son.  God made a covenant with Himself so that it couldn't be broken.  Now we are able to partake in the covenant that was made between our Father and our King by grace through faith.  The New Covenant is not dependant on our works and deeds; it is dependent on our faith.  When we enter this New Covenant through faith, we enter the Kingdom of God, and become God's children!  At this point we have the ability to live in all the power and authority of Heaven!  At this point all the blessings and favor of God are ready to be manifested in our life!  And, it's not based off of whether or not we've done good enough; it's based off the agreement our Father and King have made, which we've entered through faith!  If you have entered this New Covenant I encourage you to live in all the power and authority that has been given to you!  Look for the blessing of God to overtake you, for you are now part of the Royal Family!  Live every day like the child of the King you are!
