Learning From Examples...

"Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come." 1 Corinthians 10:11

Paul informs the church at Corinth that the things that happened to the Israelites when they left Egypt should serve as examples to them.  They were to learn from the Israelites mistakes, so they didn't make the same ones themselves.  This is a truth we should grasp today as we read the Bible.  The Bible is full of examples for us to follow.  The mistakes others have made could benefit us, if we would only dare to learn from them.  Take time to read your Bible daily!  Learn from the examples recorded there in; both good and bad.  We are blessed to have such examples to learn from!  How foolish it would be for us to overlook or ignore those examples!  Read the Word daily!  Allow it to penetrate to the deepest part of your being!  Embrace the truths recorded there in!  The Word of God is powerful and will nourish your soul, but only if you take time to prayerfully read and embrace its truths!
