Self-Worth...

"Then he bowed himself, and said, 'What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I?'" 2 Samuel 9:8

When King David, desiring to show kindness to one of Jonathon's children, has Mephibosheth brought to the palace, he throws himself on the ground and refers to himself as a "dead dog".  Mephibosheth didn't have a very good self-image, to say the least.  And, unfortunately the same can be said for many of God's children today.  They have been brought into the Kingdom and made joint heirs with Christ, yet they maintain a poor self-image of themselves.  They refuse to see themselves through God's eyes, and continue to look at themselves through the eyes of the world.  If God calls us righteous in Christ, how can we say anything less of ourselves?  If we will begin to see ourselves the way God does we will live as He intended us to!  Poverty, sickness, despair, hopelessness, depression are things created by this sinful world and are to have no part in the child of God.  We have been brought into the Kingdom and made part of the Royal family, it is time we see ourselves that way!  Dare to see yourselves through the eyes of your Heavenly Father and you will live a life rich in the blessings of God's Kingdom, which you are a part of!
